30m 2 Sided Adhesive Thermal Tape

LED Montreal has a new and thinner 3M double sided tape added to its line of products; the Double Sided 3M thermal Tape for LED Strips which is completely transparent and perfect for your LED projects that may require many LED Strips.

This double sided 3M tape comes in a 30 meter roll, is 10mm in width, transparent and super strong. This double sided 3M tape is perfect for any permanent installation where your surface is smooth and silky or where rigid LED bars and profiles are not self adhesive. Its thickness of 0.170mm has the advantage of assuring an efficient heat exchange therefore permitting a longer lighting period for the LED strips.

Installation procedure:

1. Clean the surface. Water alone can be used for a quick clean, but for best results, use a 50:50 to 70:30 isopropyl alcohol/water solution with a lint-free cloth. For oily or greasy surfaces, degrease first, then follow with the alcohol/water wipe. Avoid household glass cleaners or ammonia-based products, they can leave residue that weakens the bond.
   
   
2. Let the surface dry fully.
   
   
3. Cut the tape to length to match your LED strip.
   
   
4. Peel one liner and press the tape onto the the LED strip, applying firm, even pressure.
   
   
5. Peel the second liner to expose the top adhesive.
   
   
6. Install the LED strip, pressing firmly along the full length to maximize contact.
   
   
7. Allow the double sided tape to dry for about 24 hours before handling it.
   
   
8. Apply within the recommended temperature range (roughly 16–38°C / 60–100°F) for best adhesion.
