The RF Single Color Mini Controller with WAGO MLR2 connector is an ultra-compact and user-friendly solution for controlling single-color LED strips. Measuring just 76mm by 19mm, it provides a discreet and effective control option.
This affordable controller operates using radio frequencies, allowing it to be hidden without compromising communication with the remote. It offers a 30-meter range and is compatible with 4-zone remotes. With integrated WAGO connectors, it enables a direct connection between the LED strip and a hard wired transformer, eliminating the need for soldering and making it ideal for quick and hassle-free installations. It can be paired with up to 12 different remotes, and its convenient pairing button makes configuration easy.
Thanks to its 2.4 GHz signal repeater technology, multiple controllers can be placed in the same zone and function in perfect synchronization, creating a harmonious setup with no signal loss. This mini controller stands out as the most economical choice among our high-performance models, combining versatility and easy installation for a smooth and reliable control experience.
About Zones: You’ll need at least one controller per zone. Each zone can consist of multiple controllers. If you place multiple controllers in a single zone, they will function as a single unit, thanks to the 2.4 GHz signal relay/synchronization feature of this single-color controller. If one controller is within range of your remote, all other controllers in the zone will instantly respond to the signal. In other words, you could have a kilometer of LED strips, and they would remain in sync as long as there is one controller every 30 meters. And yes, this all works wirelessly! This setup also allows you to use multiple power supplies for larger configurations without any loss of voltage or brightness.
You no longer need multiple remotes for your single-color strips. The Mi Boxer controller series now lets you mix different types of LED strips on a single remote. To do this, make sure to follow these simple rules: There can only be one type of LED strip per zone. So, if you place a single-color strip on zone 2, all strips in zone 2 must be single-color.
Adding to a Zone is Easy!
For a new product or a product that has never been linked before:
1. Connect your LED setup and ensure that your strip lights up. Press the SET button on the controller.
2 .Within 3 seconds, press the ON "|" button three times for the zone (1 to 4) you want to assign on the remote.
The LED strip will slowly flash three times to indicate that the link has been successfully established. Repeat this procedure for each controller you want to add to your zone.
Moving a Light from One Zone to Another
If the light you wish to add to a zone has already been assigned to another, you must first unpair it.
1. Identify the zone to which the light is currently assigned.
2. Ensure the LED strip is on. Press the SET button on the controller.
3. Within 3 seconds, quickly press the ON "|" button five times for the previously assigned zone. The LED strip will flash 10 times to confirm it is no longer assigned to the zone. Then you can proceed with programming your light according to the adding procedure above.

The remote is not the only way to control your Single Color controller! You can also add the 2.4 GHz WiFi gateway (sold separately) to control your lights from your mobile phone from anywhere in the world using a WiFi or 5G mobile connection. The WiFi gateway supports third-party voice control devices such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Please note that the zone option may not be available on third-party applications, and LED Montreal does not provide support for these interfaces.
