RF Multi Zone RGB LED Strips Kit

The basic kit comes with 5m of 5050 150 LED RGB Strip + 1 Multi Zone RGB remote + 1 Multi Zone controller + 1 12V power supply. Multiple Strips are displayed to show some of the colors that the actual Strip can achieve and to illustrate that you can control several units with one remote. You can customize your kit using the drop down menus above.

The product that’s going to without a doubt revolutionize your lighting universe has arrived! You can now build and control your whole LED world using a single remote with the RF Multi Zone RGB LED Strips Kit from LED Montreal. It allows you to sync an unlimited amount of RGB LED Strip circuits and in each of the four available zones. It’s so much more than a gadget, it’s the center of your whole lighting system and it works in extremely simple and effective fashion. With the RF Multi Zone RGB LED Strips Kit, you can opt for both a more simple and traditional lighting or for a fully festive colorful look! Everything is possible and it’s you who decide!

Control everything with one simple remote!
The Multi Zone RF remote operates on 2.4 GHz frequency, giving it with a range of up to 30 meters and features numerous functions. The center touchpad gives you the possibility of choosing directly a lighting color (press and hold the ON (│) button of the Zone to get the color White) while another small touchpad gives you control over the brightness of the lighting. You can also select among 9 different automatic light changing modes and even control the speed of the changes! Please note that all the strips assigned to the same zone will follow your color commands at the same time, but the automatic color changing mode won’t have them all change color in sync.

NEW! You can now also control all your Multi Zone setups using your smart phone or tablet with the WiFi Controller for RF Multi Zone kits. By installing that USB powered WiFi Controller, connecting it to your internet setup or home network and downloading the free MiLight iPhone/Android App you can control all your Multi Zone kits with your tablet or smartphone as if it were another remote.

You can combine the following items in your kit :
150 LED RGB 5m Strips:
Affordable and bright, they feature 30, 5050 chips per meter. They are splash resistant and self adhesive.
300 LED RGB 5m Strips:
Same as the 150 LED Strip with double the LEDs per meter for super bright effects.

Use of Adhesive Tape
If you're planning on installing your LED strip sideways or upside down, we strongly suggest using extra adhesive such as the Double Sided 3M 9495LE Tape for LED Strips.

The 4 Zone set up is the coolest thing ever!
A few examples:
•    Control the lighting in your kitchen on Zone 1, your bedroom on Zone 2, your living room on Zone 3 and your recreation room on Zone 4.
•    Divide a room in two zones and control one side of the room with Zone 1 and the other using Zone 2.
•    Alternatively, you could use the master control function (the ON/OFF - O button at the top of the remote) to control all zones as one and have all your strips change color in sync... that’s how powerful and versatile this kit is!

Adding on to a Zone is easy!
For a new product or a product that has never been linked before:

  1. Disconnect the power supply from the controller to switch off the light(s) you want to program.
  2. Turn the light back on and within 3 seconds; press the ON (│) button of the zone you want to assign (1 to 4) on the remote control.
  3. The light will slowly flash 3 times to indicate that it was successfully linked.

You can repeat this procedure for each light product you want to add to your Zone.

Change a light from one zone to another.
If the light you want to add to a zone was previously assigned to a different one, you will first need to unlink that light.

  1. Identify which zone the light is currently assigned to.
  2. Disconnect the power supply to turn off the light(s) you want to program.
  3. Power the light back on and within 3 seconds; press the ON button of the previously assigned zone 5 times quickly.
  4. You can then proceed and program your light according to the add-on procedure outlined above.

Your power sources.

Please note that although you can sync and control an unlimited amount of LED Strips in each Zone, make sure that you have a power outlet available for each 20 meters of 150 LED RGB Strip within the same zone.  For example, if you wish to light up your favorite room with 30 meters of 150 RGB LED Strip, your kit should connect as follow:

Circuit 1: 1-10A Power supply, 1- T shape connector, 1- RF Controller, 4- 5m spools of 150 RGB LED Strips
Circuit 2: 1- 6A Power supply, 1- RF Controller, 2- 5m spools of 150 RGB LED Strips.

Configuration for 10 meters of RGB 300 LED Strip:
The Multi Zone kit for 10m of RGB 300 strip comes with a T shape splitter. You have to connect 1 strip (5m) on one side and 1 strip (5m) on the other. You can't connect more than one strip of RGB 300 on the same output, the tension on the circuit will be too high and you will damage your strips. Note that for 10m of RGB 150 strip, it is preferable to split the circuit in the middle and have one strip on each side.

Configuration for 15 meters RGB 150 LED Strip:
The Multi Zone kit for 15m of RGB 150 strip comes with a T shape splitter. You have to connect 2 strips (10m) on one side and 1 strip (5m) on the other. You can't connect 3 or 4 strips one after the other on the same output, the tension on the circuit will be too high and you will damage your strips.

Configuration for 20 meters of RGB 150 LED Strip:
The Multi Zone kit for 20m of RGB 150 strip (the maximum length of RGB 150 strip possible for 1 circuit) comes with a T shape splitter. You can connect 2 strips (10m) on the left output and 2 strips (10m) on the right output. You can't connect 3 or 4 strips one after the other on the same output, the tension on the circuit will be too high and you will damage your strips.
